day twenty one: temporary states
Thursday, April 21, 2011
Rain is a friend
The darling, sympathetic
Pathetically attempting
To wipe your troubles away
But it will fall short, light
Neither rain nor warm water
Will do any washing away
Discontent is not soluble
The only thing that will swirl
Into the drain
Is water, soiled with suds and salt
Slithering to the rhythm of
Marble being beaten mercilessly by
Marble being beaten mercilessly by
Water drenched with heat
The incensed enemy
Although no sounds are
Soft or sweet
The pressure can linger
Long enough to
Conceal, for the time being
